| Described in the Victoria County History as not rare but local, and found in fair numbers in limestone caves and old lead workings in the Matlock area; also recorded from Dovedale (Jourdain 1905). The last record dates from 1863. The nearest known colonies are currently found in North Wales and the far south of Staffordshire. | |
