One found dead at Ogston Reservoir in April 1964 was presumably a descendant of a small population introduced nearby at Treeton Dyke (Clinging & Whiteley 1980). Derbyshire records for 1961 and 1964 mentioned by Lever (1977) no doubt relate to the same animals. |
